Ander Ang, Atikah & Associates was established in 2015 in Johor Bahru. Driven by a commitment to legal excellence, the Firm has since expanded its strategic footprint across Malaysia, boasting five branches including key offices in Kuala Lumpur and its newest practice in Petaling Jaya. Collectively, our partners anchor the Firm with decades of combined legal expertise.
The Firm was co-founded by Mr. Ang Wei Chao (Ander) and Ms. Tay Jia Xin, both highly astute, accomplished practitioners who have built distinguished reputations through extensive industry experience and specialized legal triumphs. In 2020, the Firm accelerated its growth by establishing its Kuala Lumpur office and welcoming Ms. Carole Ngu as a Partner, further strengthening our corporate capability.In line with our continuous expansion, the Firm has established its newest branch in Petaling Jaya. This office is spearheaded by an accomplished litigator, KC Suzalena Salleh who brings extensive, high-stakes courtroom experience and a proven track record in resolving complex disputes.

Ms. Tay Jia Xin obtained her LL. B with Honours from Oxford Brookes University, England in year 2009 and later completed her Certificate in Legal with Honours in year 2010. She was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2011 and handles conveyancing, financial documentation, family issues, debt recovery, trust & property, industrial disputes and intellectual property matters.
Suzalena Salleh or better known as KC, has been practising law since 2008 and has wide experience in corporate, litigation and advisory matters. KC is involved in corporate advisory works for both local and international corporations, as well as conducting several major civil and criminal court proceedings involving construction & contractual disputes, civil claims and securities related-cases. KCʼs clients range from both local and international companies, public universities, privately managed business to corporate figures. KC also does pro bono work for the underprivileged.
Apart from her corporate advisory works, KC actively acts as lead counsel for trials and hearings at the Malaysian High Court, Court of Appeal and Federal Court, as well as for domestic and international arbitrations and adjudication proceedings. KC has worked closely with international clients including from Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, European Union and the United Kingdom.
KC started her legal career at Messrs Jerald Gomez & Associates for several years and later at Messrs Nadzarin Kuok Puthucheary & Tan, where her legal skills were refined by the respective firmʼs Senior Partner and leading counsel, Datoʼ Jerald Gomez and YA Dato’ Nadzarin Wok Nordin (now Court of Appeal Judge).
KCʼs legal cases and writings have been reported in numerous legal journals as well as major newspapers. She is often invited to give lectures in local law schools and to judge both local and international moot-law competitions. Amongst others, KC co-authored the legal article entitled “Variation Clauses in Construction Contracts ‒ A Boon or a Bane from an Employer and Contractor Perspective [2019] 1 MLJ cxiv” published by Lexis Nexis.

- Acted as the lead contract drafting solicitor for a project worth more than RM500,000,000.00 in Penang
- Acted as lead counsel for a company limited by guarantee in a commercial dispute worth approximately RM32,000,000.00
- Acted as lead defence counsel in a complex white-collar criminal matter, successfully securing a full acquittal for the client
Kee Huey Sin (Maggie) is a qualified legal professional with extensive experience in civil litigation and corporate advisory. She graduated with an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Hull, United Kingdom, in 2007, and subsequently obtained her Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in 2009.
She was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in March 2011 after completing her pupillage at Messrs Isharidah, Ho, Chong & Menon in Kuala Lumpur.
Maggie began her legal career in civil litigation, gaining experience in bankruptcy and winding-up proceedings, tenancy disputes, trademark and copyright infringement, as well as shareholders’ and commercial disputes.
In 2019, she became a Senior Partner and further expanded her expertise by obtaining an MBA from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. Currently, she specializes in Corporate Advisory, Commercial Agreements, Probate, Contract Law, and Debt Recovery, providing strategic legal solutions to a diverse clientele.
Ms. Carole Ngu Kek Hiong graduated with Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Oxford Brookes University in 2010 and obtained her LLM from Northumbria University in 2011. She is a Barrister-at-Law, Lincoln’s Inn and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2010. She chambered under the guidance of Y.A. Nantha Balan a/l E.S. Moorthy (current Court of Appeal Judge) at Messrs Zulrafique & Co in 2011. She was admitted to the High Court of Malaya in 2012. She is qualified in both Peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak and was admitted to the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak in 2015.
Ms Carole mainly handles the firm’s litigation cases with vast trial and appeal experience. She is an astute litigator who has successfully represented clients in cases involving tenancy disputes, family matters, banking litigation, accident cases, land disputes, winding up, professional negligence, medical negligence, contract disputes, company law, defamation and tort claims.
Ms. Chiam Xiao Lih graduated from University of Tasmania, Australia with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 2010 and completed the Certificate in Legal Practice in 2015. She was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2016 after completing her pupillage at Messrs. Wang & S.B. Wong.
Ms. Chiam mainly handles sale and purchase transactions (sub-sale and housing developer works), financial documentation, transfer of ownership, post-auction transactions, perfection and discharge of properties, tenancies, wills writing and probate and administration of estate matters. During these years of practice, Ms. Chiam has gained experience in many types of legal work in conveyancing.
Ms. Nur Atiqah Binti Nasir graduated with Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) in 2015 and obtained her LL.M from University of Malaya in 2022. She was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak in 2015, and later in 2019, as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
Ms. Atiqah is a seasoned legal professional adept at navigating complex contractual landscapes and mitigating risks, specifically in the oil & gas and construction industries. Further, with an extensive experience in various legal roles with regional exposures and in spearheading multimillion-dollar project tenders, she excels in contract management, project tenders and negotiation, complex contract drafting including FIDIC, compliance and governance, industrial relations, and dispute resolutions including litigation, adjudication (CIPAA), and arbitration.
Ms. Hajar Mohd Nor graduated from University Malaya (UM) and obtained her law degree, L.L.B with Honours in year 2012. She was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 18th October, 2013 after completing her pupillage at Messrs Othman Hashim & Co. Later she continued working at Messrs Othman Hashim & Co. and mainly handled conveyancing matters until 2016.
Ms. Hajar then ceased practice temporarily in year 2017 for other business ventures. She resumed practice as a lawyer and joined Messrs Ander Ang, Atikah & Associates two years later in January 2019 to continue with her legal career.
Ms. Soh Kah Wei graduated from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) at Sintok, Kedah and obtained her law degree, L.L.B (Hon.s) in year 2020. She was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 21st February 2022 after completing her pupillage at Messrs Ander Ang, Atikah & Associates and thereafter she continues working at Messrs Ander Ang, Atikah & Associates and mainly responsible for conveyancing and general litigation matters.
